The develop team has been working on a fix for players experiencing RS dead clicks in combat. Here you could read the detailed explanations from the recent official Tweet:
When the keyboard input system runescript uses sets a keybind it sets an “ignore already held” flag for that specific keybind, which prevents buttons being pressed before the interface has loaded and usually isn’t noticeable. The actionbars used this system; however, as the actionbar needs to update when players’ backpack, worn, prayers, stats, and so on change it ends up rebuilding a lot. The dead clicks, or more accurately dead keypresses, seemed to occured causing the “ignore held” flag to be set just before the keybind was processed.
RS dead clicks fixed with update on Dec. 16th
Based on the dead clicks issue mentioned above, the adjustment will be made to deal with it. Actionbars have been updated not to set this flag when they rebuild, and this update will resolve these dead inputs. This adjustment is planned to make with the weekly update on December 16, 2019.
