RS new skill Archaeology is planned to be released in 2020. Before its release, there is a chance of learning more about this skill. You can keep an eye out for the Road to Archaeology videos in the New Year, rolling out on January 3rd, 10th, and 17th, 2020. You will be able to hang out with Mod Osborne and Mod Timbo on their archaeological dig. They will discuss what you can expect from Archaeology, help you prepare for this skill and give you a tour of some of dig sites of Gielinor.
General information on Archaeology RS3
Archaeology was revealed at RuneFest 2019. This new skill will have maximum level of 120 and be available up to level 20 for F2P players. When it is released, there will be an embargo on bonus XP, lamps and other skill boosts to train this skill, lasting for 6 month. However, there is a chance of obtaining an elite skilling outfit for Archaeology through an alternative method to the fragment system.
With Archaeology RS3 new skill, materials can be obtained from excavation hotspots at the following dig sites:
Varrock Dig Site
Kharid-Et
Everlight
The Infernal Source
Stormguard Citadel
Warforge
