release of the game on February 22, 2013. This year there will also be
fun in-game activities and a special stream.

Every year there is an in-game event to celebrate the game's birthday. In 2019 players need to help the Lumbridge Cook bake a birthday cake, and got the birthday cake as one of the event rewards. There is also a chance of obtaining previous birthday event rewards if you want some of them.
It has been revealed that there will be the usual fun and frivolity in-game (with lots of cake) in OSRS 2020 Birthday Event. In addition, the team will also be hosting a special live stream at 4pm UTC on Friday February 21st, 2020. Don't forget to join the team for OSRS birthday fun, data, and japes!
